Sprinkle the mat with soap suds, spaghetti, jelly etc as you swirl your hands around to find the numbers. Try making the corresponding amount of items out of dough to match the numeral. Use water based paint to practice number formation. There are lots of uses but the key focus is that children are accessing numbers in a multi-sensory way. You could even put water in the tray and use it as a deep sea number base to go fishing in. Size approx 86cm2. Suitable from birth.
